Yangphel open archery tournament in the quarters

The quarter finals of the Yangphel Archery Tournament begin today. 24 teams, comprising 14 winners and 10 wild card entries from the knockout round two, will play the quarter finals. Tudors had an easy win over Aspens during the Open Summer Basketball Championship’s super-league round on August 25 in Thimphu. Tudors thrashed Aspens 53-28. The jubilant Yeedzin FC lift the winners' trophy Yeedzin FC were crowned the A Division Champions 2010 after beating Druk Star 5-0 in the closing match of the championship on August 17. Yeedzin FC defeated Transport United 4-2 to win the A division league in an eventful match on August 10. The first goal of the match came in the 15th minute when a Transport player fouled a Yeedzin striker in the D area. Pema calmly converted the penalty shot to give Yeedzin the lead. Karma Thinley of Dhoros is leading the race for the Best Archer at the Yangphel Open Archery tournament 2010. Karma, popularly known as Keta Karma after his profession as an actor in Bhutanese films, hit 14 kareys in his third match on July 31 taking his total kareys to 36.
