Failing DoR seeks corporate entity

The Department of Roads (DoR) will be corporatized if the revised Road Act is passed in the forthcoming session of the parliament in July. 45% hike for armed forces

Royal Bhutan Police, Royal Bhutan Army and Royal Body Guards will receive a 45 per­cent pay hike with effect from April, next month. The proposal for the raise was put up to the govern­ment of India last year after the civil servants had been given a 45 percent raise. Two school teachers were robbed and physically abused on their way back from school at Chinese Line in Jaigaon on March 9. Man dies from drug overdose

Police today reported that a 21-year-old man had died of drug overdose in Thimphu. At around 7 am, police found an intoxicated boy at the VIP enclave in Motithang. He was wearing a T-shirt and half pants and was shivering. Police officer on duty recovered 19 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon from him.
