Bhutan Star final this weekend
December 30, 2011This weekend, in the grand finale of Bhutan Star, six contestants will compete for the coveted prizes.
Last Sunday, in the 11th episode of the show, Kinley Penjor was saved from elimination by judges who used their veto.
Tshewang Zangmo, a regular viewer of the show, said, Kinley Penjor deserved to be saved. “He sings well in all the genres,” she said.
However, Arjun Subba, 23, feels excitement is not building up unlike in the past Bhutan Star shows. “Although the show has reached the final stage, it isn’t exciting somehow,” he said.
Phuentsho Wangmo won the Voice of the Week title for the first time last week.
This episode’s winner of the title will get a Swift Dzire car. The runner-up will take home an Alto car. Third price is a motor bike. The prize for the fourth and fifth contestants is a mountain bike along with some cash. The sixth candidate will receive a laptop with some cash.
The grand finale will be held in a BBS studio. Nguldrup Dorji, the organiser of the show, said that the grand finale could not be held at the clock tower as planned because of the cold weather.
