Second private bank Bhutanese will have a more choice in availing themselves of financial services with the opening of second commercial private bank in the country. T Bank will be launched today in Thimphu. T Bank is a domestic bank promoted by three promoters – Wangchuk Dorji, Topgyal Dorji, and Savitri Dorji of Tashi Group of Companies. On December 14, 2008, the Royal Monetary Authority of Bhutan issued an “in-principle” approval to Tashi Bank Ltd to start a commercial bank.
