Gold medalists lauded

Lyonchhen Jigmi Y Thinley congratulated two Bhutanese civil servants who were awarded gold medals for higher studies from their universities in India.

The Prime Minister lauded their achievement and urged them to show similar prowess and commitment to serving the country and people.

Jigme Tenzin, 33, who works as an immigration officer, received the Dr. R. Bhuvaneshwari Memorial Medal for his outstanding performance in master’s degree examinations from Anna Centre for Public Affairs, University of Madras.

Kinzang Dorji, 32, who is the personal secretary to the home minister, bagged two gold medals – one for overall outstanding performance and the other for an outstanding performance in the final year – in his master’s degree course in public administration from Nagpur University.
