Transformers thrash Shadows

Transformers thrashed Shadows 60-36 in the ongoing annual Coronation Cup at the Swimming Pool complex in Thimphu on December 23.

In the first quarter, the match was competitive with Transformers leading 9-7. In the second quarter, Transformers came with more steals, blocks and free throws, the gap rose to six baskets with 24- 10 points. Shadows did make up for the previous lapses in the third quarter but it was not enough and Transformer still led the game with 39-28 points. With cheering crowd and supporters Transformers took an in accessible lead in the final quarter.

Twenty eight men’s team and 5 women’s team are taking part in the tournamnet. There are four pools with seven teams each in men’s category.

Four matches are held every evening on weekdays and seven to eight matches on weekends.

Today, Merlins will face Transformers while IMTRAT will battle out with Aspen. On the same day Pazaps will encounter Frazee whereas Unicorns will meet Blue Magic.
