yes the entire session of the national should be telecast live,… we the people want to see how the decission are made so that we the people can judge their judgement….. this days i think the Parlimentarian are trying to hide their foolishness and nonesense talk infront of the public by trying to avoid live telecast….THIS IS MY JUDGEMENT! SO WATS YOURS?

They way this decesion was made, it seems the National Assembly has something to hide. Otherwise why ban the BBS from live telecasting the NA?

The PM keepings on harping about strengthing Democracy in Bhutan but he has to realize that transparancy is the corner stone of a good democracy. By not allowing live broadcasting of the debate in the NA it only shows that his retoric and his action do not match. Infact they contradict.

The National Council seems to have no problem with the live bradcast so what is the NA going out of its way to ban it?.

Walk the Talk Mr. PM otherwise stop pretending to build democracy when you are actually weakning it.

Why not? Now Bhutan is democracy and every citizen has right to witness how their candidates work. if it is not telecast ed live then government is hiding the candidates weaknesses from the public….in order to win the next election. Am i not wrong? dear fellow citizen…

Yes it has to be live telecast. Because everyone in the country should know. Its the responsibility of media so, memeber and MP have no power of barrier

National Assembly Session should be allowed to telecast alive, for what ever policy decisions is being made or passed in the house will affect the whole nation. we may not see the (+/-)ive results of the parlimentarian’s decisons right now but definitely we all will bear its consequences in the future but it will be too late to change at that time. hence, any assembly proceedings must be publicy presented and subject to public critique for wiser and betterment of our country. Public has voted for them and public’s views and word must be given due weightage like in any other democratically set up country. Losing public’s trust is any party’s greatest weakness and trust once lost will be hard to regain. we are still waiting for the parliamentarian to change their minds.

Transparency, effectiveness and accountabiltiy are the main features of the “vibrant democracy”. There should be freedom of speeches and medias;decision should not be taken behind the closed doors. Only through live telecast people get to know about the governmental policies and decisions. If some decisions seems reckless, citizens have every right to speak out their sentiments since they represent the mass public. There should be a sort of consistency between public policies and public decisions.

I think it is not necessary after all people are too busy to see the live session of NA. However, it would have been better if BBS could broadcast highlights of the session in the evenings so that people know about the NA discussion and appropriate time since people would be at home with less work to do.

But then I was also expecting live telecast of important discussions that are relevant and useful for the people and that too with due information (agenda and time of live coverage) to people so that we can accordingly plan our schedule. Otherwise, we have MPs, Ministers, PM, NC and media to represent us promptly and effectively. We trust them and there are our heroes. We are sure they will inform and consult us if there is a need. It is good to know every thing but how much we can absorb and interpret is a different story……

In the end without live television of the NA session, people can focus their time (365 days) on productive work and enhance the economy of our country. Otherwise we may not complete work on time, others may not like to work, farmers may not complete their plantation on time, elders may not complete their prayers as intended, small kids may not get chance to pay video game, there may be an obesity after one month, and the list goes on…

Sorry, this is my thinking and just for fun!!!
