yes, bhutanese are good drivers and am one of them…
there is vast difference between plains and the mountainous country like us. and i
feel proud seeing our bhutanese drive well, despite of very few accidental cases.,
but that doesn’t mean that we drive in different state of mind,
Bhutanese friends, please keep your eyes open and concentrated while driving and never consume alcohol before driving..
thanks
best regards from
Rigs…!
Its depends..there are good Bhutanese drivers as well as bad drivers..why why you want this information????? Is BO going to prevent some accidents or are you going to train good drivers??????
bhutanese r good drivers….
untill they drink something ha ha…
bhutanese drivers can reduce alcohol consumption and reduce few accidents that occurs….which were often reported from alocohol consumption….
Bhutanse r good in everything ha ha…
Drive well Bhutanese drivers…cheers!!!!!!!!!!
Well, If I were to comment, Bhutanese are good drivers technically. Because of our terrain we have built a fair bit of dexterity over the years. We are deft and agile inmost aspects of driving and since we all drive the manual transmission system, we are I suppose better drivers, technically of course. Circumstances and the settings have enabled us to be able to “maneuver” ourselves out of a range of pressing “driving” situations.
But, responsible drivers? Not at all! somehow, we lack that. And the lack thereof has also armed us with a degree of brazen callousness that also assist us in most , if not many, occasions to make all kinds of “maneuvers”! We lack the very basic of driving etiquette and our ethics on the road leave us with very little to separate or distinguish us from the motorists in any given city in India, or for that matter, Nepal.
Everyone is confused. Roundabouts, T-junctions, lane change, pedestrian crossings, overtaking, parking, giving way – no motorist in Bhutan has a complete understanding of them or at least they chose not. And the concerned authorities have done little by way of “education”. I have often heard of foreigners who are appalled by the state of our motorists and the roads as well.
don’t the BO have a better question to ask. No wonder the masses do not read your newspaper. Expand your vision , people and your questions will follow …
Pardon me but This question is a joke!!!
FULL OF SHIT.WHAT KIND OF Q IS THAT.
BO’s polls alys suckssssssssssssssss so bad…………how can they ask such type of stupid questions?
i have been driving for 8 years now and i never had any kind of accident, still i dont consider a myself a good driver. this is becoz i have seen drivers in thailand while i was studying there. i was surprise to see them park in and out of a crowd of vehicle. they dont do even open there window and that too without those parking sensors. (their cars are not like altos and vans……..i dont know anyone in bhutan parking like this or may be i didnt notice).
i do know that our roads are narrow but narrow road usually have less of accidents as compare to those plain comfortable roads. i can drive very well in the road but i m not good in parking cars. anyway now most of the foreign car have parking sensors so it should make parking much easier.
I totally agree with Dun Dun.
In my opinion this survey is timely and important in the sense that the concerned agencies act on to bring it into our system. There has never been an awareness on any sort to the requirements of the drivers. It confuses two drivers when approaching the roundabouts and the ignorrant and bold drivers take over the turn.
Even driving on the express way would improve if drivers were warned to drive as close to the left side of the road. I have followed cars driving right in the middle of the road.
