E xcept for Wangchuk, who dreams of his past life, the other characters are oblivious of their past lives. Besides romance, the film also depicts the strong bond of friendship and trust. If the movie is of entirely different story then named it Chorten Kora II. Viewers will definitely take for granted that it is the continuation of the first part. It is completely misleading the audience.
Be careful while naming any film for instance.
What rubbish you are talking about. You have named movie name Chorten Kora II and it is totally different. I think you all are not entertraining the people or not gonna educate the people. Really money minded ,……Becareful when you do something. Make it which people can appreciate.
since Chorten Kora I was a huge success, under Gyem Dorji’s directorship (and of course his exemplary acting), they wanted to share the “branded” title, I assume! Else, it makes no sense if it isn’t the continuation.
Chortenkora was an entertaining movies with little misleading when it is potraying the essense of Buddhism with human sacrifice. However it owed it credit with Bhutanese actors almost setting the standard of professionalism.
With new Chorten Kora, it looks like the same Shakesparean drama , the romance of Romeo. Without this theme, the Drukloywood and the Bolleywood is void of any creativity. Looks like cheap movie and fast money. Think of the longterms.
Film-makers should take moral responsbility regarding distortion of historiacal facts. the youngsters after this geneartion may think Gasa Lamai part ii and iii and Chorten Kora are authuentic historical myth.
as of now, it seems Bhutanese film-makers are just going after money that are guaranted by sequels. even Chorten Kora part I distorts historical fact to make films look romantic.
