OL visits disaster affected areas

Opposition Leader Tshering Tobgay is visiting the earthquake affected areas in Mongar and Trashigang Dzongkhags.
In Mongar, he visited some of the worst affected areas in Walaktang, Thangrong, Dramtse and Narang Gewog. In Trashigang Dzongkahg, he visited Yangnyer Gewog and Durung village where almost all the houses were damaged by the earthquake. According to the Opposition Leader, people told him that the Office of the Gyalpoi Zimpoen and Royal Bhutan Army were quick to respond during the disasters and were of immense help.
“It was, however, only after His Majesty’s arrival that the people felt a sense of comfort, relief and confidence,” he said.
He said the people expressed deep gratitude to His Majesty and shared their determination to use the kidu they received to rebuild their homes and lives as soon as possible.
In Durung, the Opposition Leader told people to cooperate and help each other to rebuild their homes in the villages.
He told them not to be disheartened but to take this disaster as an opportunity torebuilt better and stronger homes.

    it was really encouraging of visit of lyonpo Tshering Tobgay because it would mean and convey people about the roles and responsibilities of opposition leader.
