Bhutan-Thailand Park opens

Thimphu got its third recreational park, Bhutan-Thailand Park, on November 10.
Located below Kelki Higher Secondary School, the park was inaugurated by Tsugla Lopoen Samten Dorji. Besides recreational facilities for children, the park also has a lhakhang. “The park is expected to cater to older people as well,” said the environment officer of Thimphu City Corporation.
The park, which earlier had a Thai pavilion, was developed into a recreational space and handed over to the City Corporation by the Thai government.
A ccording to the environment officer, a park below Changangkha is in the pipeline. The other two parks are located in Mothithang and the vegetable market area.
