Tibetans and Indians were always a patron of Bhutanese people’s spiritual growth. Otherwise Bhutanese people have nothing on their own. They have welcomed Tibetan lamas of all shapes and sizes inlcuding Indian saints. So, what Bhutanese people know as a spiritual practice or whatever is just the tradition of Tibetan lamas and Indian saints.

Cheers for some more Lamaism for Bhutanese!!!

Multitudes of Bhutanese across all walks of life have come to see their savior! The saviors comprises Father, daughter and his two sons! Bhutanese people’s life after death is for sure guraunteed now! These saviors are like Lord Jesus the great savior of humanity who could not save himself at the cross!!!

But where has meditation gone in the life of every human being? We have all kinds of substitutes.

mindu dorji, keep whatsoever you believe to yourself. don’t provoke the sentiments of the mass.

I truly wish that people like Mindu Dorji may one beautiful day actually come into contact with teachings and practices of Buddhas and sublime beings such as Dungse Rinpoches’.

Thereby they might gain some knowledge and insight of them, of Buddhism, whether in India, Tibet or Bhutan, of meditation, and maybe even of Jesus, instead of blindly talking about things they haven’t the faintest idea of.

Not to worry: more and more young Bhutanese ARE realising these values, as can be seen from articles like http://www.bhutanobserver.bt/2009/bhutan-news/09/grooming-future-gomchens.html.

What ever…we can we see from the crowd how precious our H H Rinpoche is. I don’t think any Rinpoches have attracted this many people so far. Its a history history and history. People of Bhutan are sooooo blessed with the visit of Rinpoche. I one of the person who got the benza guru lung can now happily die after all I have got to see Rinpoche and listen to his voice.

Long live H.H Thinley Norbu Rinpoche and Dudjom family.

I would like to react to two comments of Mindu Dorji. It is not correct to use the word Lamaism. This word has originated from the West meaning Tibetan form of Buddhism as Lamaism which is wrong. Secondly, it is utterly mistaken on his part to compare Dungse Rimpochhoe to Jesus Christ. If one reads the Buddhist text, there is a vast difference between Buddhism and Christianity.

  8. Mindu Dorji on October 20th, 2009 9:45 am

Sonam Gyamtsho I am not comparing Dungse with Lord Jesus. These two are of sky and the earth. Lord Jesus is a buddha and one is just a traditional throne holder of lamaism or what you called Tibetan Buddhism. Now I had to compare. Lord Jesus does not belong to Christainity like Sidhartha Guatama does not belong to Buddhism. But these lamas surely belong to Buddhism. It is their works. Compiling the teachings of buddha and forming a particular tradition.
Anyway this has got nothing to do with challenging somebody’s faith or stupidity towards somebody–a Lemminglike readiness to follow any sorts fo nonesense. It was simply my realisation being shared to whomsoever it may concern.

    to Mindu Dorji la,

That is the reason why Buddha said: don’t follow me, follow my words, contemplate it and then if you think it is helpful, practice it. Unlike Lord Jesus, who claimed to be son of god, and all? It might sound politically incorrect but this is lemming like readiness to follow any sorts of nonsense. If apple from tree of knowledge of good and evil was forbidden to eat, then why did god created it. And god who speaks of forgiving and all ( you are not Christian, if you can not forgive)curses Adam and Eve with hard labour and with pain in child birth when they broke his command. No offense but it really doesn’t make any sense.

    Mindu Dorji,
Reading your post it’s quite obvious that you are a Christian. Did the amazing show of faith to Rinpoche by Bhutanese of every walk of life turn you off? Or perhaps it was realizing that it be slighly harder to convert people after Rinpoche’s strong appeal to Bhutanese youth to value their Buddhist heritage and recogize the preciousness of it?

Anyways it looks like you are trying to resort to the typical divide and conquer method that people of your Christan faith used successfully throughout history. You make the argument that Rinpoche and Buddhism as foreign to Bhutan, things that Bhutanese people have made “no contributions” to and are just following like “lemmings”. The funny thing is that you yourself are following Christianity which is much more foreign.

Bhutanese people are much smarter than you seem to think we are. We are not going to throw away 1200 years of Buddhist heritage simply because of what you say.

  11. Lama Tenzin on October 21st, 2009 2:09 pm

It is amazing to see one mad dog’s dog comment is answered by another wounded dogs. Rinpoche took his precious time to clear our madness. So for country sake we all need to respect all and show our unit་

  12. Mindu Dorji on October 22nd, 2009 11:55 am

Lama Tenzin, Tenpa Jurmey and Ugeyn,
Who is hurting you all so much? I cannot belong to a stupid faiths like Christians, Buddhists, Hindu, Islam and all that nonsense. I was simply bringing the facticity of the things in the forefront for discussion. And the anger you all carry and the argument you all have putforth is nothing other than Christian theology. God created Adam and Eve and all those nonsense! 1200 years of Buddhist heritage. Who is stopping you all from following that 1200 year old nonsense? Go on remaining unconscious for some more millions of years and perhaps you all will be if you are not aware and sensitive in reading your Self. The history of whole mankind contained in your being will all be wasted. But this is none of my concern again. Just go on doing whatsoever you all wish. I am like a bird that sings sitting at your window. Whether you all listen to it or not is not my concern. I may be singing a wrong song altogether too.
But keep everything within yourself and save at least some children from indoctrination. So-called buddhists are becoming so fanatic these days like Christians and Islam. And they think they are so religious. What a calamity!

  13. paldon on October 23rd, 2009 1:16 pm

if you are not buddhist or following any religion, then y r u writing stupids/nonsense comments.. don’t bother our religion and i wonder wat u are doing in bhutan. and yes respect our HH Dungse Rinpoche…

Yes i totally agree with paldon… plz don’t pull each other’s leg.

  15. tenpa gurmey on October 24th, 2009 11:35 pm

    Mindu la,
I think you mis read my comments. Any ways i still don’t understand what fact are you talking about. Being conscious about not being conscious of the sufferings, ignoring the damaged done to ones life due to worldly desires. It is not a fanaticism to believe in ones religion and practice it. Fanaticism is what you are doing ‘redoubling you effort when you have forgotten your aim’.

  16. Diane on January 30th, 2010 2:02 pm

My friend recently went on a pilgrimage to Bhutan (she lives in the NW United States) and was fortunate enough to attend this event and receive the transmission.

After reading, watching and learning about Bhutan, and people of Bhutan, I can just say that I am sorry I was not born there. Gross National Happiness is far more important than GDP and I hope that many country’s around the world would follow Bhutan’s example. If Buddhism is to thank for that, long live Buddhism. My “religion” is happiness, as happiness is the only thing that counts. Whoever promote happiness, is great spiritual leader. HH Dalai Lama ( I was fortunate to work with on World Festival Of Sacred Music ) is one of them, HH Dungse Rinpoche as well.
Peace and Happiness to all of you from Bosnia.
    Neb
