   Its really sad to know that such thing are happening in other parts of the world..how dear can they do this with Buddha;s status..to whom we worship a lot…..forget about hanging shoes on it we can;t even display buddha;s status anywhere they like…

   If I had the authority I would sent those peopple whoever haev done this to life prison……anyway thans to the Author who broght this to the notice os the autiorities in Swiss

   Teepee…………don’t befool yourself that you are religious person now. Why create mess about this stupid thing. A statue made by man is not a buddha himself. It is just an image. But I undertand your stupidity since we all are brought up by those so-called religious person to mistake such stupid statues as something and forget ourselves as buddha. Humanity is not important but all these stupid things like statues, scriptures and all. All statues, scriptures and history of any nation should be burnt once and for all so that humanity can be brougth back. At the moment in the name of all these religions, which are just nonsense the humanity is lost. That stupid daughter of those couple from Patna is simply conditioned as Buddhist living near Bodhgaya. What is your comment had the statue been Jesus’ or Krishna or some other famous religious leaders of the past like Sidhartha Gautama.
   So you want that shop owner to be sent to prison for this simple act? Let people do whatever they like with any statues. Who are we to bother. Don’t show your stupidity and degenerate buddhism. Buddhism has been degenerated because of stupid people like you who think that you all are religious. Those stupid Tibetan lamas and all who does not know ABC of meditation but full of rituals and worshipping those lifeless statues.

   May you know the real spirituality in this life. I pity you.

   One who cannot recognise the image of Buddha cannot recognise his owner nature of mind. I donot understand why the trulku sergyal Bomdhen is not supporting the preservation of Buddhist culture. As a title of Trulku he should be suppporting other people in spoiling the Buddha’s image. Whenever we support the Buddhism, Trulku Bomdhen disagrees. I think you are not Buddhist Trulku or you are disguising to be buddhist Trulku. You donot deserve this title and if you are right you can visit the BBS Live show so that Bhutanese can put off the question to your unholiness trulku.
   For your kind information you donot deserve to be trulku and i want to know which rimpoche have recognise you as an trulku. Guru rimpoche have predicted that at this degenerate age, evils and devils will born as an holy one and that is you.
   Plez donot misuse your Buddhist title of Trulku and i am sure you are the muslim trulku who dislikes the Buddhism.

   I think you are not a real tulku but infact the way u write trying to distort and mislead, u resemble like one of those cunning fanatically obsessed missionary guys who is greatly frustrated by repeated failure to make much break through with all means of lurement upon the innocent people of Bhutan whose centuries of unwavering faith to Buddha Dharma have shown them the door to exit.

   Shame on you. You are like a cunning jackal wearing a sheep clothing and misleading people. We all know that a clay can never be a human. But once a clay has been sculptured in the shape of Buddha then it is supposed to represents Buddha. To exploit Buddha in such demeaning way is to discredit for what he stands for – universal peace, compassion, and goodness of all beings.
   A picture of you or ur family member would represent you or your family member and if someone spits or pisses on it infront of everybody would u still be able to maintain that wry smile of wisdom of yours. Remember that statue is of no ordinary being and it inspires us and lots of other people to do so many good things in life. If it was the statue of Jesus or Krishna we would have condemned it in the same way.
   The time has not yet come when the likes of Buddha be garlanded with shoes and the likes of Osama bin ladin be garlanded with flowers. Such demeaning act will never be normal for us. To defend such case is a sign for you to visit some mental hospital and we will pray for your quick recovery.

    You Bhutanese can go on deceiving yourself. You are not following your culture. you are simply following either Indian or Tibetan culture. Just extended form of it. You have all those spiritual charalatans annointed by Tibetan group of lamas as great reincarnations and you all throw your hardcore earnings and receive so-called empowerment. Just touching your head with that dirty hand which collected sweat and blood of inocent people. And someone has said that my image should be made into toilet pot and circulated. This is a very good apprach. Why don’t you use latest photoshop and make me naked and getting sodomised by some of you. This is again a very religious feelings of you people. But my heart aches so much when I see through and through what sort of calamity you all will be encountering the moment you stop breathing. I mean during the time of your death. All these bullshits like buddha images and all are just nothing other than mirage. The buddhahood that you carry will be lost in unconsciousness and again you will have to come back to the school called earth in various forms to undergo schooling and to polish your wretched soul.

    wildbeast………as the name suggest you are a real wildbeast. You don’t even know what this word buddha means. It simply means a person who is awakened. It has got nothing to do with the Sidhartha Guatama who also became buddha ofcourse, meaning awakened. The moment you hear the word buddha immeditately your petty little mind will always almost think of Shakyamuni buddha of Bihar, which you and your forefathers had been worshipping for centuries and prolonging your own buddhahood from flowering.

    There is not point powering water onto a closed container but I am sharing this insight for the sake of others. For a person like you it will mean nothing. Still you are not accepting the fact that the image made by man is not a buddha. And you are saying that I am a buddha destroyer. If buddha can be destroyed it is worth destroying. Buddha seems to be very powerless. He can be destroyed so easily. But I know the understanding of buddha for you people is something to do with lies. So lies can only be destroyed so easily not the truth.

    Once again out of my compassion I would like to remind you to awaken. Don’t wait for some buddhas or saviours if you are a christain and so forth to redeem you. You are really becoming so unconscious and perhaps unconsciousness is the sin. And with the sin you still think that you can attain to buddhahood. I know you are thoroughly spoilt by many things like religion, so-called rituals that will bring you wealth and peace of mind or some lamas or gurus can set your soul free. All esoteric bullshits!

    You are right. I am not a Tulku in your sense. I have not been annointed by those idiotic group of old Tibetan monks. They did not certify me. I am not a carbon copy of somebody in the past. I am an original. My enlightenment or my destiny. Only I know. I cannot be represented by those stupid and idiotic lamas of Tibet who certify who is who. I am not that type of Tulku who is like a soldier following the commands of some army captains. I am a free man who educated in the west and also thoroughly studied buddhist texts and found them that they all are just rubbish like bible, koran, gita, upanishad and so forth. I have realised and awakened all by myself and known that the consciousness is neither Buddhist, nor Hindu nor Islam or Christain. It is not even Bhutanese or Chinese or an Indian. It is an end unto itselt. And there is no path to it other than remaining conscious all the time. One cannot approach as a buddhist towards buddhahood. That is why there are thousands of buddhist temples containing monks and nuns. None of them have become buddha. What is the matter? At the most they become gays and lesbians. Ofcourse they also become parrots–repeating scriptures mechanically and also following their so-called rootguru or trunk guru or an apex guru—-I don’t know.
    Apparently one does not see one’s own tragedy in life. Life is slipping from one’s hand every moment and one goes on deceiving oneself that one knows what the ultimate truth is. There cannot be a greater deception in one’s life than this.

    You don’t even understand why the statues of buddha are kept in Lhakhangs and Chortens? They are placed there to keep people blind and make people stupid like two of you. See how two of you conform to it so religiously. When devil losts his jobs these lamas and stupid group of monks took over his job of constructing temples and chortens.

    Yes I gulp the dollars of those Canadians. They recently gave me 2 million USD. I did not accept it since two of them were greedy capatalists……old and wretched. Don’t know where they are going in this life. At last to throw away their guilts of exploiting and robbing people legally ofcourse they have come to me wtih that money. I sent them back. They will soon find those religious people from either India or Tibet to accept that gifts and shower blessings for their good happenings after life. They may even construct Chortens and Lhakhangs as you say and keep the statues of Buddha. So they are religious like two of you.

    All the best for two of your stupidity in this life. But please have a trade mark and copy right of it so that others cannot have right of such stupidity and can only remain with two of you.

    Dear commenters,

    I’m 19 years old, native Austrian (Europe) and interested in bhutanese culture and people. That’s how i found this page and after i did read the article and a major part of the discussion i decided to say somrthing about that issue.

    To all people, who ” would sent those people, whoever have done this, to life prison” I want to say that you have to keep in mind that this happened in a place thousands of kilometers away from the next buddhist country. I doubt that the shopkeeper and his customers know about Buddha and how important such statues obviously are to some of you. For them it’s just a nice accessoire, which gives the shop a somehow “exotic” touch. Furthermore you can’t practise all bhutanese moral standarts here in Europe, as I couldn’t do with all of mine in Bhutan. In Europe religious symbols are not that important in every day life, everybody is allowed to practise his/her faith, but must acceppt, that there are other religiouns, which have to exist peacefully next to each other and to the people, who don’t belive in any religion.
    But I also want to say something to Tulku Sergyel Bomdhem. Although I aggree with you in some points e.g. that faith doesn’t have to be bound on rituals and statues, you have to acceppt, that there are people, who see those things as an important part of their religion. Of course you are free to post your opinion, but you could have done that in a less offensive way. You cant’t force them to aggree with you, as they can’t force you to aggree with them. In my opinion the best thing to do would have been to write down your meaning in a friendly way and invite people to think about it, instead simply insulting them with every word.

    Concluding I want to say that it’s all about respecting each other as equal human beeings. Discussion is important, but it must happen without bad words!

    ..i don’t see the issue as an act of insult or defiance but rather, as an act of ignorance..but hey, isn’t this what we are all born into?.a realm of ignorant existence?..i don’t blame the trulku for his opinions either, our history has welcomed even the strangest of mystics with their grossest of attitude.
    i am not much of a pious person myself and don’t believe in the concept of God, Heaven or Hell but i do know this; it is not wise to offend others knowingly, not in our life or theirs.
    the swiss store was probably unaware of the attention that it’s advertising gimmick would draw, i believe they meant well..after all they are not Buddhists to say the least..but it is really sad to know that such an issue can cause an uproar of hatred..if History(and the Buddha) had taught us anything, it was to be tolerant of each other but from the looks of things, i daresay we have forgotten what it takes in the first place to avoid conflicts.. frankly, i don’t see what the fuss is all about, the person who should be insulted right now is the Buddha and even He has the grace to take the ‘disrespect’ silently, as he would if he were alive today..the picture should draw Pity, not Anger..or are we all forgetting his principles?

    I am not concerned of shoulds and should nots of other people including yours. I am not arguing anything here. And you know the sleeping minds of Bhutanese and people of other parts of the world. One needs to hammer. It is not a question of respecting each other’s religion and all those nonsense. Mankind had been doing this down the centuries and we still fight each other and destroy each other in the name of God or faith and so forth. My point here is not to dilute the truth with beautiful words. I still want to hammer that to have faith in images or God or Buddha or Christ or so forth is one of the shortest and the surest way for stupidity. Whether we like it or not this is the truth. I am not going to compromise anything. I am not arguing but sharing my light. Those who want to receive this light will receive. If it goes against some of your conditionings think that it is not meant for you all.

    Does your defence mean anyone living thousands of kilometres away can have a licence to stoop low and act in grossly undignified way towards lord Buddha. Globalisation is taking place, the world is getting smaller and buddhism is getting very popular as large number of people are embracing it in the west ( without force or material lure). It is a very peaceful dharma and I guess thats why people take advantage of it. Can the shop keeper put a garland of shoes on Quran or lord Jesus statue and put it on public display. Or if he is non-believer then can he put statue of his parents in exhibition and hang garlands of shoes around their neck. Cud u do it ? and wud u feel so much conviction and jump to its defence. I have been to Europe and I know that the people of Europe are smart enough to understand the difference between a garland of shoes and a garland of flowers.

    Nice try ! But again you imply as if no one in Swiss have any knowledge of buddha and Buddhism. Mind you, there are large number of Buddhists of Swiss national and so many more have atleast some idea of it.

    What u mean by ‘some of you’ ? Please, the statue is important not just to ‘some bhutanese’ as u indicated but to all milions and millions of buddhists worldwide and even to so many non-buddhist too.

    How can u suggest this businessman shopkeeper does not know what statue he bought. Wud u buy a thing not knowing what u bought.

    There are many good christians around the world and practising that faith is all very fine. The problems start when people like u, a christian convert, tries to create disharmony and division in the society. People like you think urself over smart, very educated, modern and look down on those practising buddhism primitive and full of superstitions. Thats ur level of ignorance and stupidity. U tried to impersonate as a tulku and defend something undefendable. U tried to fool people when u dont even know the ABC of being a tulku. You must have felt very proud about it like ur fanatic evangical mentors. I know many such fanatics spread rumours that in bhutan and mongolia christians heads are chopped off and are mercilessly persecuted. These lies wud only stop when u all bhutanese are converted to christians. Muslims fanatics use force and violence and christian fanatics use all kinds of lure. Is this the strenght of such religions that one has to use a sword and bribe to convert people? Y dont u people respect others ability to reason and think and act on their free choice. Y are u people hell bent to exploit poor and vulnerable people. Is this the teachings of your doctrines?

    Mindu dorje seems more like ur real name. U are a coward like I said and u will remain a coward person and will always indulge in negative actions. This is the meaning of christianity for you. Bribing and force conversion must not be allowed anywhere in the world and that goes in bhutan too.
