The Agriculture Minister, Lyonpo Pema Gyamtsho, attended the Tarayana Fair at Clock Tower in Thimphu on Saturday morning. In the evening, he attended the National Film Awards function at the Youth Development Fund (YDF).
On Sunday, he attended the First Annual Media Awards function at the YDF complex.
Monday being a public holiday, he took break on the day.
On Tuesday, he had a meeting with the park manager of Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Park to discuss his visit to the Takin Habitat and the proposal to construct a guest house in Gasa. He also had a meeting with the Director, Department of Forest, and Executive Director of BAFRA on their trip to Phuentsholing and the border security issues. He then attended the regular cabinet meeting.
On Wednesday, he had a meeting on the stray dog problems. He also had a meeting on Pistu Talc Mining in Samtse. He met with Sombeykha Dungpa to follow up on issues discussed during his trip from Haa to Sombeykha. Then, he had a meeting with the Country Representative of WWF on a fund raising programme for Wangchuk Centenary Park in Bumthang. He attended the Druk Phuensum Tshogpa meeting in the evening.
On Thursday, he attended a meeting on the operation of quarries for construction works at the Ministry of Works and Human Settlement. He also had a meeting with the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA) formulation mission. He met with the Director of Samtse College of Education to discuss the agriculture programme in the college.
Today, he will be meeting the newly appointed Dzongdas. He will also meet the Haa MP to discuss the issue of timber kidu for the houses damaged by fire last month. He will also attend a book launch ceremony at the Centre for Bhutan Studies today.
Tomorrow, Lyonpo will participate in an Agriculture Ministry archery match at Yusipang in Thimphu.
On Sunday, he will leave for Gasa along with Economic Affairs Minister and Home Minister to study the Takin Habitat project.

i think that is not enough…he promised us more than that as well…his frequent visit to bhutan and staying at his friends guest house should be cut off…

yes his frequent visit to bumthang is really becomming a problem as he was found drinking staying at his friends guest house and above all…changing the airport plant on the mountains, and his cousin still working as a manager in the govt. farm in bumthang though he had finished his tenure is a seriouse issues of corouption..that needs to be looked in and action should be taken. he is rather doing good as a minister but should not be so irresponsible when it comes to govt. budget and TA DA…spending so much on his enjoyment,,,,

yes he is attending so many meetings and seems to be busy all the day but why dont he visits schools and pass the inforations about importance of agriculture servicesto our country to our feature youth since since our youths seems to be negecting this activities .
if he visits schools and inistutes i think youths will take a note of it
our lands seems to be barren n emty houses youth seems to be hanging in the town drinking and creating problems hope for that all the best
