Princes play the coronation final

The Coronation archery tournament organised by the Bhutan Archery Federation (BAF) has finally reached the final.

As predicted by spectators who have been following the tournament closely, the two princes are going to play against each other’s teams.

His Royal Highness Dasho Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck’s team Phoja reached the final after defeating the One Hundred- 15 on Tuesday in the semi finals. His Royal Highness Dasho Jigme Dorji Wangchuck is also in team Phoja. Phoja as a team hit 53 kareys while team One Hundred- 15 hit 35 kareys. On Wednesday, His Royal Highness Dasho Khamsum Singye Wangchuck’s team Throg-Tum defeated Lamdrel Nyensung. Throg-Tum hit 95 kareys while Lamdrel Nensung hit 90 kareys.

The final, which was scheduled on October 31 and November 1, has been postponed to November 3. “We need time for some preparations,” said one of the BAF members.

The Coronation archery tournament kicked off with 38 teams on September 24.
