The commet given by Karma Phuntsho (above) is very appropriate for the lower grade civil servent and which will fulfill the vision made by the DPT (Drayam dand Drangdhen). The low income are suffer if what Khorey had given comment. This is Bhutan not like any other country. I strongly support Mr. karma Phuntsho’s suggestion. thank you karma.

Yah, i do agree on the above the guys but only 2 some extend. You know in the year 08 in market inflation, the market rate raise due to the indian pay raise. i think it is also time for the bhutanese civil servant for the raise. and i propose the pay raise in percentage vice, EX 40%, P 55%, S 75%, O and GSC 85% and ESP 100%. this is to maintain the standard in the market as we share the same market by the EX level and by the rest,

o hello why both of you fighting, it is a good news that pay is revised for civil servants but what about the people working under corporate and private sectors.

i dont think so that the people who works under RBA and RBG are like PIGS mena la.

I do not expect the military officers or military personnel to make any comment to my comments. Otherwise you will breach you code of conduct and high standard of disclipine expected from our military.

You are supposed to be like pigs and eat what ever is fed to you and only to the extent you are fed with.

Khorey, I do not understand what you mean when you say,”…you try this method of pay rise for the monks of rural Tibet.” You better clarity or desist writing such nonsensical phrases.

Do you mean to say that Karma Phuntsho, the author of the above article is a Tibetan High Lama or official holding sway over the rural Tibetan monks? Or are you from that background and so have Tibet in your thoughts?

I am satisfied that we, the civil servants are going to get a pay rise soon after our salary was raised in 2005. I did not expect that so soon. However, I shall be so happy if no salary is raised for the RBA, RBG, and RBP. If ever they are to be given some increment, it should be very nominal and certainly not above 5%.

This is because they are not felt to be important. The RBP had brought nogolops under control in the south and the RBA and RBG had brought the Indian militants under control in our southern jungles. Now we do not envisage any emergencies in the future and their importance will not feature anywhere now.

Why should we waste our precious money to raise these lazy bums? They got 20% raise in 2005 and it hurt me because they already get reations, good houses and vehicles with so many other facilities.

I feel they should be given only some pocket money and salary soould not be paid to them. Otherwise it will encurage many talented Bhutanese to take up military job and weaken the scarce resources of our Pelden Drukpa.

Percentage-wise is the way to go in any country (except maybe in North Korea, Cuba and some other communists nations). This basis stems from the fact that more productive and competant people should be paid more and deserve porpotional increase. This is a way to encourage performance. Your proposal has good intent and but lack modern sense for rewarding performance. Such method could induce complacency and not competatiness. I suggest that you try this method of pay rise for the monks in rural Tibet.
